II. Workflow Guidance for Major 3D Software
(You can find the corresponding tutorials on the QuickMagic Video Mocap – Practical Tutorial page.)
- Using BIP files in 3ds Max
First create a BIP skeleton in 3ds Max, then import the downloaded BIP file to edit the motion normally.
- Using mocap data in Maya
Motion data can be retargeted through Maya HumanIK. It is also compatible with workflows using the ADV plugin. Please refer to the official tutorials for detailed instructions.
- Fixing retargeting failures in Blender
1. Check whether the model skeleton matches the mocap skeleton.
2. If retargeting still fails, it is recommended to use the UE or Mixamo format. Please refer to the official tutorials for details.
- Using facial capture in iClone / CC / C4D
You need to generate facial mocap data using the OnlyFace format, then import the data into the corresponding model for use.
III. Format Compatibility and Customization
- DAZ character support
DAZ is not supported at the moment. This format has already been added to our development plan.
- Exporting real human bone-length data
We recommend trying the UE or Mixamo format first. If problems still remain, please contact official support.
- Requesting new formats
If you need additional export formats, you can let the official team know. We will review and evaluate the request.
IV. General Compatibility Notes
QuickMagic supports mainstream 3D production software such as 3ds Max, MotionBuilder, and Maya. It can export common mocap data formats including BIP, FBX, VMD, BVH, and anim, helping meet production needs across different workflows and scenarios.
Thank you for supporting and trusting QuickMagic. We’ll continue to improve to deliver a better experience and higher-quality service.
